About

Hello everyone. I’m not expecting many to bother with this page, but here is a little bit about me. I have a passion for exploring new topics and sharing my thoughts with others. I enjoy writing about my experiences, and I hope to connect with those who share similar interests. Sorry for babbling, I’m learning as I go! Every step I take feels like a new adventure, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads me. Thank you for joining me here!

I have loved reading since I was a child. So much so, that I read the Iliad of Homer while in year 6 (aged 11). When I told my teachers what I had been reading, they didn’t believe me at first, thinking it too complex for someone my age. I hated being made out a liar so much that I confided in my mum, who understood the depths of my passion for stories. She did the only thing a mother could do—she empowered me. She encouraged me to engage with my teachers, urging them to ask me ANY questions about the text so they could witness my understanding firsthand. When they did, I answered every single one correctly, leaving them astonished at the knowledge and insight I had gained. From that day on, my teachers never doubted me again, and I felt a sense of validation that fueled my love for literature. I carried on my passion for reading and exploring various genres, delving into classics and modern novels alike, which not only enriched my vocabulary but also broadened my perspective on life, culture, and humanity well into my formative years and beyond. My childhood bookshelf became a treasure trove of adventures, and each book I picked up was a new door into worlds yet undiscovered.

My literary tastes have changed a lot since my childhood, evolving alongside my experiences and interests. My favourite genre then was epic fantasy, those enchanting stories that would transport me into rich new worlds filled with intricate lore and larger-than-life characters. The allure of magical quests and epic battles captivated my imagination and sparked my love for reading. Although I still hold a deep affection for epic fantasy, my main genre has shifted to encompass a broader range of narratives, primarily fantasy with a sprinkle of romantasy, where love intertwines with fantastical elements. This fusion not only enchants me but also adds layers of emotional depth to the fantastical tales I enjoy. Additionally, I’m also planning on dabbling in some horror and thriller genres in my attempt to reach a wider audience, as I find the suspense and psychological intricacies of these genres intriguing; this exploration promises to enrich my storytelling palette and challenge my creative boundaries.
