Synopsis –
Allie: Three months ago, I crashed into my favorite rock star – literally.
And I walked away with more than a bruised ego. I walked away with him.
But happily-ever-after isn’t as simple as it looks from the outside.
The world’s watching our every move, just waiting for us to fall apart. Jax holds me together when I know I’m unraveling, makes me laugh when I want to cry.
But love doesn’t fix everything.
And I don’t know if we can survive what’s coming next.
Jax: Allie isn’t just the girl I fell for – she’s the calm I never knew I needed.
Now the world’s spinning faster than ever: album about to drop, band drama boiling over. Everyone wants a piece of me, and I’m running out of pieces to give.
Then the last person I ever expected to see again walks back into my life.
He’s back, asking questions that pull open scars I learned to hide.
Except this time, I’ve got something worth fighting for – and I’ll burn it all down before anyone takes her from me.
Thoughts –
Another fantastic book from Olivia Tucker, Louder Than Words continues on from Don’t Think. Following the cliffhanger of book one, I was eager to read this one as I had to know how Ally and Jax were going to deal with the trials and tribulations that were ahead of them. This book really didn’t disappoint. The stakes certainly seem higher in this book, making it incredibly hard to put the book down! I read it in one sitting, and was left gasping, crying, squealing and feeling ALL the feels throughout.
The first person POV really gives the reader a true sense of the constant panic and anxiety that Ally is feeling, as well as the desperation Jax feels to make everything right. That being said, there were points that made me want to shake some sense into Ally, especially later in the book when things seemed to really be going wrong. Rather than allowing the people she loves to rally around her, she chooses to push them away, hurting them in the process.
I love that we started to learn more about the other characters in this story, especially Ally’s best friend Ana. She’s an absolute force of nature, and is such a supportive friend. I love that she doesn’t just pander to Ally. Rather she gives her the truthful pep talks that all girls need, especially when they being difficult! The fact that she also does this for Jax is also wonderful. The way she has wholly accepted him because he makes Ally and the girls happy is really heartwarming.
After being left on ANOTHER cliffhanger (CURSE YOU OLIVIA!!), I cannot wait for book 3! Here’s to hoping that all of these characters get the happy endings they so desperately deserve! Yes, even Trevor…
Louder Than Words is out 24th February 2026 on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited! I highly recommend reading it to anyone that loves a good contemporary romance filled with heartbreak and sprinkled with a little bit of smut!
